Room for every program.
Reading With Mrs. Richardson helps Memphis students in grades 5 to 8 become strong readers through small-group lessons, new books by diverse authors and the history of their own city. Her old Wix site packed tutoring, two programs, a workbook and dozens of partner logos onto a few long pages. We rebuilt it in code so each program has its own page, and kept it on Wix so founder Carla Fields-Richardson can keep running it herself.

The redesign.
Her old Impact page carried almost everything: schools, programs and partners, in long blocks of small text. The new homepage says what she does and who it is for, puts her numbers up front, and lets a visitor switch between Knowledge Keepers and Rooted Readers without leaving the page.

The part you cannot see.
Carla runs the nonprofit without a web team. The site had to look custom and still be something she can change on her own the day after launch.
0
accessibility violations
Ten pages were scanned against WCAG 2.1 AA at desktop and phone sizes before launch. None had a violation left.
20
blog posts carried over
Every post from the old blog came across with its photos and videos, and old post links forward to their new addresses.

dashboard for everything
The design is custom code, but the content lives in Wix. Every word and photo on the site is a row she can edit, and events, partners and impact numbers are lists she updates herself. Past events leave the homepage on their own.
In her words
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ayanna! She completely transformed the website for my nonprofit organization, Reading With Mrs. Richardson, and I was genuinely blown away by the final result! From the beginning, Ayanna understood exactly what I envisioned and brought it to life even better than I imagined. What truly set her apart was that she didn't simply complete the project. She went above and beyond by offering thoughtful recommendations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and sharing valuable insights on how to make our website more effective, engaging, and user-friendly. Her creativity, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine investment in the success of our project were evident throughout the entire process. She listened, understood our mission, and created a website that beautifully represents who we are and the communities we serve. Ayanna didn't just build us a website. She helped elevate our organization's online presence!”
